Who you’ll help
Your space can provide comfort to a family evacuating because of a wildfire, a refugee making a life-saving journey, or a relief worker deploying in the wake of a hurricane.
The journey of a stay
How to start hosting
Ready to sign up? We’ll guide you through how to create your listing and share it with guests. To get started, you’ll just need a comfortable space and a few nights of availability.
Guest eligibility and identity is checked
For some stays, Airbnb.org confirms guest identity and eligibility. For other stays, Airbnb.org works with select organizations to verify guests’ identity as well as their need for temporary housing. Often, you’ll be able to chat with program representatives or potential guests during the booking process.
Donate to stays.
Millions of people around the world are displaced from their homes due to conflict and disaster. Donations help cover the cost of temporary accommodations.Donate now
100% of your donation supports people in crisis.
We waive all service fees, so every dollar you donate helps people find a place to stay when they need it most. Your contribution can help a refugee family find a place to stay when they first arrive, or a relief-worker get some rest after a long day.
How your donation goes further
Airbnb is donating, too
We have a team of nonprofit and technology experts who are working hard to increase our impact. Airbnb covers all the operational costs to make that possible.
All processing fees are waived
We never take a cut, so every dollar you donate helps people find housing when they need it most.
Donations are tax deductible
Your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowable under local laws. You’ll receive a tax receipt to help you keep track of your deduction.
