How we're responding
Airbnb.org, a nonprofit founded by Airbnb to provide emergency housing in times of crisis, is prepared to help residents displaced by flooding and damaging winds as Hurricane Isaias makes landfall late Friday.Airbnb.org is partnering with organizations across the region, including Inform Florida and Florida’s 211 network, to offer free emergency housing to residents who are under mandatory evacuation orders. Airbnb.org is also working with All Hands & Hearts to provide free emergency housing for their first responders as they stage in the southeastern United States while preparing to deploy to support relief efforts. In Florida, residents living in areas under mandatory evacuation orders can request support by contacting 211, which will determine eligibility. Once the storm makes landfall and impacts are assessed, Airbnb.org and its partners will provide details about additional assistance.Because donations to Airbnb.org pay for stays, people in need stay for free.
